SFM’s Performance Optimization Plans are designed to provide existing sports complexes, recreation centers, and fitness/wellness facilities the guidance needed to generate better results, overcome operational challenges, and maximize marketing and business development opportunities. Through a 4-6 week process, our Operational Advisors review the facility’s financials, forecasts and strategic plans, reports and communication policies as well as attend on-site user group meetings, staff engagement interviews, oversight/client interviews, and a thorough facility tour.
The outcome of the study is a Performance Optimization Plan – a roadmap for the operating team to follow with critical insights into key areas such as:
· Organizational Structure/Staffing
· Operational Leadership
· Marketing & Business Development
· Technology & Systems
· Physical Facility
· Guest Experience/Reputation
· Bookkeeping and Reporting
At SFM, we’re hired to provide Performance Optimization Plans for any number of reasons. In some cases, the facility type is new to a community and the current organization isn’t structured or trained to support it properly. Other times, owners feel their operations could be more profitable or at least, self-sustaining as is often the case in community recreation or sports tourism facilities. Additionally, extenuating circumstances or crisis can put an operation into a serious condition and an outside perspective is the key to getting back on track. Whatever the case, we view a Performance Optimization Plan as an opportunity to maximize, not as admission of failure.
